The work is a collaboration between Robert Ek and Kim Hedås based on Robert Ek's PhD project Music in Motion, in which a specially designed bell piece for the clarinet controls modular synthesizers via movement. Joint workshops in October 2022 to develop the material.
Robert Ek will perform Beads (2022) for clarinet and electronics at Katrina Chamber Music Festival, Åland on Saturday 12 August 2023 at 10.30.
Also performed at the concert Elektroakustiskt i december 2022 at Kungliga Musikhögskolan in Stockholm, 7 December 2022.
