The work is a collaboration between Robert Ek and Kim Hedås based on Robert Ek's PhD project Music in Motion, in which a specially designed bell piece for the clarinet controls modular synthesizers via movement. Joint workshops in October 2022 to develop the material.
Robert Ek will perform One Grain of Sound (2022) for clarinet and electronics at the Gaudeamus Festival 2024 / NIME Conference 2024 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on Friday 6 September 2024 at 13.30.
