Tir, rmx q (2025) 5'50'' electroacoustic work in four channels

Tir, rmx q is a quad remix of the electroacoustic stereo work Tir, which premiered at Mimerlaven as part of the Norberg Festival in 2024, in collaboration with choreographer and dancer Monica Åslund Forsén.

In the new remix, the material from the original piece has been condensed in terms of time, while also being given an expanded format through the spatialisation of the music across four channels. The meaning of the word 'tir' played a role in the composition process and refers to the spiral-shaped groove found in a rope maker's lines. Each turn of the rope continues the groove, and in the same way, the music in Tir, rmx q continues in a spiral shape.

First performance of Tir, rmx q in Glasgow 6 October 2025 during Nordic Music Journeys 2025: Sweden and Scotland.

Concert: Electronics at 3pm Monday 6 October 2025 at Civic House, 26 Civic Street Glasgow, G4 9RH United Kingdom.
